Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions. Once a device is configured, it can connect to any participating eduroam network using the user name and password assigned by the user's home institution.
University faculty, staff and students can use the eduroam Setup wizard to configure their computers and devices. Devices should be configured and tested prior to traveling. Some campus resources are not available through the eduroam network, so University students and employees should use UConnect as their primary point of connection while on campus.
Eduroam provides visitors and guests secure access to the University of Utah wireless network. Not all services supported by the campus network are available through the eduroam connection. Long-term guests may wish to request a Guest Account (gNID) from the college or department with which they are working.
Visitors from participating institutions can manually configure their devices for eduroam, provided they know the proper user name and password assigned by their institution. University faculty, staff and students who are unable to use the eduroam Setup wizard can manually configure their device.
